Project Scope of Services
For the past 12 years, D&B has been providing full
Architectural/Engineering design services for the NYC School Construction Authority. We have completed over 60 different projects, with a wide range of design scopes.
Projects have Included
Building Modernization, Accessibility, Window/Door Replacement, Mechanical System Upgrades, Roof Replacement, Envelope Restoration, Interior Alterations.
D&B Project Responsibilities
Phase I – Field Investigation & Scope Report detailing existing problems with proposed solutions. This is the Field investigation and feasibility study phase. Consists of in depth Reports, Cost Analysis and Drawings. All
presented to panel of architects and engineers.
Phase II – Design Development & Construction Documents (Drawings & Specifications), Asbestos/Lead Abatement, Estimating. Phase III – Construction Administration Services & Project Closeout
Focus on Sustainability
The SCA has developed a “Green Schools Guide” to promote the sustainable design of school facilities. Projects must be in compliance with the New York State Energy Code as well as more specific guidelines for the selection of appropriate building materials, and construction of energy efficient building components. D&B incorporates the principles of sustainability into all of our projects.
