  • Facility management

Project Description

D&B provided engineering services for the design and construction of the stormwater pump stations for the Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant for flood protection.  The project utilized the process of Building Information Modelling (BIM) from the 30% design point through construction.  The BIM model was used for coordination purposes and visual conception during the review process.  The project included the design of new pump stations and electrical buildings.  The BIM model was used to analyze the project mechanical and electrical design and to coordinate each discipline.  D&B used the BIM model to generate contract drawings for this project.  The model will also be used as an asset during the construction phase of this project to aid in coordination. Upon project completion the model will be turned over to the Owner for their records and to be used for facility management.
