Project Description

BIM model of Mason Avenue Pump Station buildingD&B provided engineering services for the design and construction of the rehabilitation of the Mason Avenue Pumping Station.  The project utilized the process of Building Information Modelling (BIM) from the project inception.  The BIM model was used for coordination purposes during the design as well as architectural review.  The 3D model gave the owner the ability to visualize the building and make their desired changes before construction even began.  The project included maintaining portions of the existing structure.  Using the BIM model to phase portions of this project made it straightforward to determine the portions of the structure that was being maintained.  D&B used the BIM model to generate contract drawings for this project.  The model will also be used as an asset during the construction phase of this project to aid in coordination.
