The Joint Venture of D&B and Geovation Engineering has been selected by the Town of Blooming Grove, Westchester County, for a contract requiring Architectural/Engineering Services for Critical Facilities Flood Mitigation. The Town is eligible for CDBG-CR funding delivered through the NY Rising Program of the Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery (GOSR). The Town has identified three projects that require immediate flood mitigation attention. The projects include the Tappan Wastewater Treatment Plant, the Salisbury Mills Fire Company Headquarters and the Village of South Blooming Grove Wastewater Pump Station.
The JV of D&B/Geovation will provide the following services for each critical area:
⟐ Tappan Wastewater Treatment Plant: D&B will supply Design Services for concrete walls above flood height, and the installation flood barriers at flood gates within the facility.
⟐ Salisbury Mills Fire Station: D&B will design mitigation measures to protect the mechanical apparatus and operational capacity of the firehouse to prevent infiltration of floodwaters.
⟐ South Blooming Grove Pump Station: D&B will design flood panels to seal vents and doors for protection from future flood waters.
The JV will also provide Construction Management and Inspection during the construction period. D&B/Geovation will supply final contract documents and assist the Town during the construction bid process and contractor evaluation.
