This year D&B has been recognized by the Engineering News-Record (ENR), a publication of the McGraw-Hill Companies, as one of the Top 500 Design Firms based on worldwide projects. Closer to home, ENR also publishes “ENR New York”, which rates the leading design firms in the tri-state area. D&B historically has done well in the evaluation and ranking of design firms in the tri-state area.
In its industry comments, “ENR New York” attributes activity in the private sector, post-Sandy reconstruction and transportation projects as being responsible for lifting revenue at some design firms. “The overall decline in the public sector has taken a toll on many of the New York region’s design firms in the past year, some of which are still trying to dig their way out of the recession. The greatest demand for design services in the sector has been and is expected to continue to be fueled by numerous multi-year transportation projects and Superstorm Sandy-related work”, industry executives say.
D&B has been ranked 33rd in 2012, 27th in 2013 and 29th in the 2014 rankings for Top 100 Design Firms in the New York tri-state region. When you consider the largest national and international engineering firms all market their services in the New York region and compete for the same business, for D&B to display continued revenue growth and consistent performance in this environment is a tribute to the commitment and dedication of D&B employees to produce quality work. Thanks to all our dedicated and loyal employees for making D&B a relevant regional design firm.
