The New Jersey Water Environment Association (NJWEA) will be celebrating it’s 100th anniversary in 2015. The organization is the oldest water association in New Jersey and their motto is “Preserving and Enhancing the Water Environment.” The NJWEA held it’s 2013 Winter Technology Transfer Seminar at the Sheraton Hotel in Eatontown, NJ. One of the many education sessions at the seminar was presented by D&B Executive Vice President, Steve Fangmann, entitled “Biofilter Installations for the Control of Odorous Air from Sludge Drying and Composting”. Steve “show-cased” two D&B clients as examples for his presentation which offered a comparison of design, construction and operation of biofilter installations for control of air emissions from sludge drying and sludge composting facilities. The clients were the Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority (CCMUA) and the Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority (RCSWMA). Steve presented details of the operational features of both facilities to all in attendance.
