D&B sets an unprecedented benchmark for Construction Management Quality Control

Posted on October 3, 2016

Quality Assurance and Safety remain steadfast core values within D&B.  On March 30th, 2016 the D&B Construction Management Team at Newtown Creek CSO Floatables Control (CS-NCFLO) was audited by NYCDEP’s CM Quality Group.  D&B ranked No. 1 in CM Quality taking the top spot with a 93% score on the audit; out-performing the competition by a large margin. This represents the highest score on any CM audit within the NYCDEP to date.   The Success of the CS-NCFLO CM Team is largely due to experienced leadership, diligent follow-up, surveillance audits and proper planning. The Team works together as a seamless unit quickly responding to project issues.  This $40,000,000 project involves work at four sites within Maspeth, Queens and Brooklyn.  Construction work includes bending weirs, excavations, concrete, pile driving, underpinning, by-pass pumping, placing of diversion chambers, and instruments and controls.  D&B’s quality program has also been helping the team stay on-top of special inspection requirements for this project.
