2016 Marcum Challenge - D&B Engineers and Architects, P.C.

On Tuesday evening, July 26th, D&B participated in the eleventh annual Marcum Corporate Chal-lenge. This event brings together over 12,000 participants and over 200 local Long Island companies to support four wonderful charities.; the Long Island Children’s Museum, the Harry Chapin Food Bank, the Children’s Medical Fund of New York affiliated with Long Island Jewish/North Shore University Hospitals and the Nassau County Society for the Prevention to Cruelty to Animals.

The Marcum Workplace Challenge is a 3.5 mile run/walk race held at Jones Beach State Park. It is open to all businesses, government agencies, not-for-profit organizations and their families and friends. It’s also referred to as “Long Island’s largest participatory sporting event and office picnic.”

Once again, D&B participated in the event. This year D&B was represented by 40 run/walkers. After the race, everyone was treated to an outstanding buffet catered by Sebastiano’s. The menu included variety of wraps, pasta salad, potato salad with brownies, cookies and fruit for dessert. Also, appropriate beverages were available so all participants could properly hydrate after completing the 3.5 mile course. Everyone had a great time. A special thank you to Kelly Pedone and Robbin Petrella for organizing D&B’s participation in the Corporate Challenge.
