Operation and Maintenance Manuals

The D&B Start-Up and Testing Team prepares Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals that define requirements and procedures for effective operation, maintenance, decommissioning and demolition of facilities and equipment. The manuals incorporate all pertinent information for existing and new equipment, and are developed in advance of start-up and testing for each site. Manuals are site specific for each facility, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for existing and new system operations.

Manuals include:

  • Process/facility description
  • Process control strategies
  • Process flow schematics
  • Start-up and shutdown procedures
  • Laboratory test procedures
  • Emergency response procedures
  • Safety guidelines
  • Troubleshooting procedures
  • Equipment preventative maintenance activities and schedules
  • Mechanical, electrical and HVAC equipment function and interfaces
  • Instrumentation settings and controls strategies
