The Long Island Water Conference Drinking Water Symposium is one of the most important meetings in New York State as it represents a broad forum for discussion and action. It brings together water quality experts, environmentalists, industry representatives, architectural and engineering firms, and public officials from all segments of the industry.
D&B was well represented at the Symposium held in Farmingdale, New York on November 2, 2018. Senior Engineer, Arnold Palleschi, who is also Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Long Island Water Conference, President Steven Fangmann, and Bill Merklin, Senior Vice President of D&B’s Water Supply Division, were in attendance, among others. Key topics discussed included panel discussions on “Evolution of Water Treatment: Meeting the Challenges Presented by Emerging Contaminants in Long Island’s Groundwater,” and “Wastewater and Its Impact on Groundwater: Treating Wastewater for Emerging Contaminants”.
“D&B has been a dedicated supporter of the event and the organization since inception,” Steven Fangmann observed. “We see the Symposium as a valuable resource and as an excellent opportunity for dialogue and decision making. We will continue to support it in the future.”
