About D&B

Since 1965, D&B has remained committed to improving the quality of life of our communities by seeking sustainable solutions and implementing innovative technologies. From a single office on Long Island that was rooted in wastewater engineering and environmental sciences, we have established ourselves to be one of the region’s top multidiscipline firms.

We have since grown to be a team of architects, engineers, construction managers, environmental professionals and various other industry experts. Our firm serves a broad range of markets throughout seven offices in three states and emphasizes collaboration both internally and with clients to ensure we develop a unique understanding of the physical and built environment.

Our People

D&B is comprised of outstanding professionals who are unequivocally experienced, consummately skilled and extraordinarily talented at their craft. With an exemplary degree of loyalty, diligence and dedication, we are individuals driven to produce high-quality work for our clients. We are dedicated to delivering the highest levels of quality and client satisfaction and remain steadfast in upholding our corporate motto “Facing Challenges. Providing Solutions.” What makes us flourish here at D&B is teamwork through commitment, culture and drive. This philosophy represents us today and is what essentially makes our company work. Our History

William F. Cosulich Associates was founded in 1965 with merely four employees, a small office on Long Island and a primary focus on wastewater engineering. Two of those four employees were Miroslav Dvirka and Nicholas Bartilucci who, in 1971, became partners and renamed the firm Dvirka and Bartilucci Consulting Engineers (D&B).

With a handful of individuals and a vision of success that emphasized client satisfaction, the firm thrived under the D&B name and our presence became more significant with each passing year. D&B has since gone on to become an industry leader and has expanded its practice areas to include architecture, hazardous waste management, civil engineering, environmental studies and permitting, construction management, structural engineering and MEP engineering.

Our Vision

Our vision today is no different than the vision we first established in 1965. Both then and now, our team is driven to be recognized as a high-quality, innovative and committed firm that strives for excellence in everything we do. This vision remains at the core of our corporate philosophy and is instilled in each member of our team as we look to the future and provide clients with the same levels of unparalleled quality, integrity and innovation.

Our Values

D&B’s founders were trailblazers for our reputation of providing exceptional client service. We place the utmost emphasis on honoring their legacy by upholding these values and providing the same level of service to each of our clients—both old and new—that they’ve come to expect over the decades.

Industry Involvement

D&B actively participates in various organizations within the engineering, environmental and architectural industries to continually excel and improve the quality of service that we provide our clients. We are not just members, but also hold leadership and other critical positions within many of these organizations, further defining our role as regional leaders in our respective practice areas.
