The long-awaited 2020 Real Estate, Architecture & Engineering (REAE) Awards from Long Island Business News (LIBN) recently recognized D&B Engineers and Architects with two prestigious awards at a virtual ceremony on October 27, 2020.
Delayed due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the virtual awards event proved to be very well-attended. The Real Estate, Architecture & Engineering Awards honor those who help create and build Long Island’s future and recognize some of the most dynamic and successful business people in the commercial real estate community.
D&B was named Top Engineering Firm and William D. “Bill” Merklin, P.E., Senior Vice President of D&B, was named Top Engineer
D&B President Steven A. Fangmann, P.E., commented, “D&B proudly accepts this award and thanks LIBN for recognizing us as an industry leader and innovator. As an organization, we pride ourselves on having implemented environmentally acceptable engineering solutions in municipal and private projects on Long Island and in surrounding communities since 1965.”
Bill Merklin, a visionary leader in the Long Island engineering community and head of D&B’s Civil Engineering and Water Supply Divisions, commented on receiving the honor of Top Engineer. “My commitment to protecting Long Island’s water supply now and into the future is the focus of my work. I am extremely proud to receive the Top Engineer award from LIBN.”
