D&B employees recently supported the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on October 16, 2022 by donating a total of $3,251.30, which D&B matched for a total of $6,502.60!
This support has additional meaning for our company and especially for our own Christina Conte, Accounts Payable Specialist. A D&B employee since 2017, Ms. Conte writes:
I want to thank the company for supporting me during this past year.
Last year at 40 years old I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, my life has been a whirlwind of doctors’ appointments, surgeries, chemotherapy and reconstruction. I have been so lucky for the support I have from family, friends and co-workers as I continue my treatment into the new year. I have learned through this journey that there are a lot of women who don’t have the support I do which is crucial to keeping your outlook positive.
My mother is a 30+ year survivor of breast cancer and my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 months after me. Breast cancer has affected too many people I love. That’s why I’ve joined Making Strides Against Breast Cancer to honor survivors and thrivers, remember those we’ve lost, and offer up support to anyone in our community who’s been affected by it.
The funds we raised will sustain critical research and provide services for people trying to cope with their breast cancer experience. The American Cancer Society started Making Strides Against Breast Cancer to unite communities, companies and individuals with a collective goal to end breast cancer as we know it.
I am proud and grateful to be part of such a caring and generous company. D&B employees donated a total of $3,251.30 which was matched by D&B for a total of $6,502.60!
