D&B sponsored and participated in America’s VetDogs’ fourth annual Long Island Run and Dog Walk at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration Village in Old Bethpage, NY. In addition to sponsoring the event, which included D&B logo placement on course signage, event shirts, the water stop along the dog walk trail and recognition on the welcome banner, D&B also paid registration fees for all participating employees.
A sponsor of the Run and Dog Walk since its inception, D&B has also proudly supported America’s VetDogs’ founding organization—the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind—for over 20 years. D&B President, Steven A. Fangmann, P.E., BCEE, has served in Executive Positions as Vice President of Planning on the Executive Board, and as a Board member for many years.
Founded in 2003, America’s VetDogs has trained and placed hundreds of guide and service dogs to provide independence, enhanced mobility, and companionship to veterans with disabilities from all eras. The special assistance dogs are individually trained to help mitigate disabilities for veterans with blindness, spinal cord injuries, hearing impairments, peripheral and central balance disorders, limb loss, traumatic brain injuries, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Thank you to all who participated in this fourth annual Long Island Run and Dog Walk, and to all for supporting our nation’s disabled veterans!
