It was a beautiful day on the links at the prestigious Meadow Brook Club in Jericho in support of a great cause. D&B Engineers and Architects once again proudly supported the Maurer Foundation in the 26th annual Golf Classic for Breast Health Education as a Pink Diamond Sponsor.
The event took place on May 17, 2021 and raised nearly $215,000 to help save lives through breast health education focused on breast cancer prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, early detection and risk reduction. Event proceeds support the Foundation’s breast health education programs which are presented to a number of schools, colleges, businesses and community groups.
D&B, was represented by D&B President, Steven A. Fangmann, P.E., BCEE, Lucia Fangmann who helped organize the event as a member of the Golf Classic Committee, and D&B Senior Vice President Joseph H. Marturano.
Mr. Fangmann commented, “It is truly a pleasure to be able to support such a worthy cause. The Maurer Foundation has made an enormous impact in the fight against breast cancer, saving lives through the education of students and adults, as well through early detection and prevention.”
