D&B was awarded a contract by the Town of Babylon to provide stormwater drainage improvements to their Department of Public Works Yard located in Lindenhurst, New York. This work will include hydrologic modeling, drainage calculations, development of best management practices (BMPs) for stormwater and the design of green infiltration structures at the 13 acre yard. It will be the first phase of an overall redesign of the Town’s DPW Yard which D&B hopes to assist the Town with over the next several years. This first phase of the design was awarded to D&B given the dedication and service of the Environmental Remediation Division on prior assignments in the Yard. Through the Team’s attention to detail and hard work, the Town has developed a very high opinion of the firm and D&B has become their “go-to” environmental engineer. But in order to win this phase of work for the firm, the Environmental Remediation Division enlisted the talents of specialists in stormwater management engineering. The proposal team developed an overall conceptual approach to the project that was well received by the Town. The Town awarded the project to the firm based on this approach, our proven track record and our cost effective budget.
