Not one, but two Fangmanns were named MVP by the South Syosset-Woodbury Republican Club at the 23rd Annual Teddy Roosevelt Achievement Award Dinner.
The ‘Most Valuable Performance’ Award was shared by D&B Engineers and Architects, P.C. President Steven A. Fangmann and his wife, artist Lucia Fangmann, for their ‘contributions to public service through government or service organizations.’
A distinguished artist with many local exhibitions, Lucia was honored for her years as a preschool teacher at Faith Nursery School, which left a positive impact on many youngsters, as well as her dedicated support at Harvest Houses for the Well Elderly where she was a Mission Award winner. In addition, Lucia was recognized for her work with a number of charities including support of the annual Helen Keller Picnic Day Art Program and the Maurer Foundation Breast Cancer Awareness Program.
Steve was recognized for his support of the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind and for America’s VetDogs, which provides valuable assistance to our returning and disabled U.S. veterans of every era enabling them to regain their independence and live a life without boundaries. Steve’s many industry involvements and honors include serving as President of New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) and presently as an ‘Ambassador of Water’ for the venerable institution.
Congratulation to Steve and Lucia Fangmann for receiving the MVP Award recognizing their many years of dedicated service to the community.
