As D&B’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Steven A. Fangmann, P.E., BCEE leverages over five decades of professional engineering and consulting experience – 30 years of which have been with D&B. Mr. Fangmann served as D&B’s President for eight years, providing strategic guidance in support of the firm. His focus is on financial matters, business ethics, and quality standards.
In addition to his leadership skills, Mr. Fangmann has honed expertise in wastewater facilities planning and investigations, as well as in detailed designs of municipal water and wastewater treatment plants and sewer systems.
A recognized thought leader of his discipline, Mr. Fangmann has been involved with the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA), the New Jersey Water Environment Association (NJWEA), the Water Environment Federation (WEF), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the American Water Works Association (AWWA). He has previously held the post of President of the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) and was elected to their Hall of Fame in 2009. He was also President of the Long Island Chapter of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers (NYSSPE) and was named their Engineer of the Year in 2008.
