William “Bill” D. Merklin, P.E. serves as President of D&B and has over 30 years of experience specializing in the planning, design, and construction management of projects in municipal and private stormwater management, water treatment/distribution, water storage tanks and site development, as well as municipal roadway improvements.
A licensed professional engineer in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York, Mr. Merklin has moved up the ranks through D&B being instrumental in shaping the firm’s strategic vision, fostering innovation, and mentoring the next generation of engineers. As President of D&B, he will continue to uphold the firm’s high level of customer service and attention to detail while implementing modern methods to enhance its capabilities. Mr. Merklin’s leadership will guide D&B through significant growth and modernization, championing innovative technologies, sustainable practices, and service expansion to strengthen the firm’s reputation and impact in the engineering community.
Mr. Merklin is active within the water supply and public works communities, and is a long-time member of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), the American Public Works Association (APWA), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the American Water Works Association (AWWA), the Eastern Pennsylvania Operators Association (EPOA), the Long Island Water Conference (LIWC), the Nassau Chapter of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers (NYSSPE), the New Jersey Water Environment Association (NJWEA), the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA), and the Water Environment Federation (WEF), among others.
