NCDPW Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant Perimeter Flood Protection
D&B is providing construction management services, including resident engineering and construction inspection, for the construction of a combination flood wall and earthen levee to prevent water intrusion at the Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant. The FEMA-funded project, which was a direct result of the damage caused during Superstorm Sandy, additionally includes the installation of three flood gates to access plant; removal and relocation of electrical and lighting utilities; demolition of an existing berm; construction of a slurry cut-off wall; utility relocation; construction of new park areas; and construction of a new perimeter roadway.
The services being provided include preconstruction conference and job progress meeting attendance; shop drawing review; cost estimating; scheduling oversight; site inspections; development of a Quality Assurance Program; development of a closeout punch list; and field checking as-built drawings. D&B is also responsible for monitoring the accuracy and completeness of a CPM Schedule, as well as inputting all data into the Information Management System to track and update the status of all project information.
