PWWD Well 6 Packed Tower Aeration System
The packed tower aeration system at Well 6 in the Port Washington Water District was designed to match the capacity of the existing 500 GPM capacity well and with expansion capability should future volatile organic compound concentrations increase in the future. The tower and all the associated equipment is fully enclosed in the new architectural structure, which is located in a residential neighborhood and was specifically designed to blend in with neighboring properties. The air intake and discharge louvers were strategically directed away from the residential homes and equipped with sound attenuating features.
