Town of Brookhaven Coastal Infrastructure Mitigation
Having incurred widespread damage in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, the Town of Brookhaven selected D&B to assess stormwater drainage outfall sites located at Hallock Landing Road in Rocky Point; Sills Gully Road in Shoreham; Riverhead Road in Sound Beach; and Grandview Drive in Blue Point. In evaluating these sites, D&B documented the damage and assisted the Town with securing FEMA reimbursement. D&B performed site investigations and developed detailed damage/repair assessments for each of the sites, which were used to later assist the Town in obtaining FEMA reimbursement. Repair recommendations were developed along with detailed construction cost estimates, followed by the development of contract plans and specifications, as well as construction management and inspection.
