D&B Vice President Olga J. Mubarak is one of Long Island’s most respected engineers and an experienced, visionary leader in the engineering community. She was honored in the August 25, 2023 issue of Long Island Business News special section “Who’s Who Women in Professional Services.”
Ms. Mubarak is a Vice President at D&B Engineers and Architects, serving as Project Manager for the firm’s Wastewater Collection and Treatment Division. She began her career as a regulator for Westchester County Department of Health and subsequently entered the environmental consulting field working at D&B with the priority of keeping Long Island’s wastewater regulated and its drinking water pristine. She has served as a Project Manager/Project Engineer for many high-profile wastewater and environmental engineering projects, all vitally important to the health of the water ecosystem on Long Island. These projects include Great Neck Water Pollution Control District Wastewater Treatment Plant Bulkhead Replacement, Village of Sea Cliff Sanitary Sewer Projects, Nassau County Department of Public Works Pump Station Repair and Mitigation, and Port Washington Water Pollution Control District Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) Project and State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Permit Compliance, to name a few. These projects improve Long Island’s waters and protect life, health and property by reducing nitrogen pollution and mitigating future flood risk.
