On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, D&B Engineers and Architects attended the in-person ACEC New York 54th Annual Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) along with over 350 consulting engineers and clients. D&B’s Bill Merklin, Mike Savarese, Jen Gienau and Peter Connell were in attendance to receive two awards presented to D&B:
- An EEA Platinum Award in the category of Water Resources for Nodine Hill Elevated Water Storage Tank Rehabilitation project (shared with colleagues at Woodard & Curran)
- An EEA Gold Award in the category of Water Resources for 1 MG Prestressed Concrete Ground Storage Tank at Well 6 Station Village of Old Westbury project
Awards were presented to 127 engineering projects at the first ever hybrid virtual and in-person Engineering Excellence Awards Luncheon. Proceeds from the event benefited the ACEC New York Scholarship Fund, formally the New York Consulting Engineering Scholarship and Educational Fund. This luncheon also coincided with ACEC New York’s centennial celebration, and a few special awards and presentations were given as part of this milestone.
