The American Council of Engineering Companies of New York has awarded D&B Engineers and Architects two accolades in the 2021 Engineering Excellence Awards:
- An EEA Platinum Award in the category of Water Resources for Nodine Hill Elevated Water Storage Tank Rehabilitation project (shared with our colleagues at Woodard & Curran)
- An EEA Gold Award in the category of Water Resources for 1 MG Prestressed Concrete Ground Storage Tank at Well 6 Station Village of Old Westbury project
In total, 127 projects will be honored at the 54th Annual Engineering Excellence Awards Gala. This event will also recognize the 100th anniversary of ACEC New York.
Steven A. Fangmann, President of D&B Engineers and Architects commented, “The ACEC New York 2021 Engineering Excellence Awards are meaningful, coveted and valued throughout our industry. D&B is proud to have been honored with two awards from such a prestigious organization, and it is our distinct pleasure to share these honors with our clients and with our colleagues at Woodard & Curran.”
The Engineering Excellence Awards are presented to projects that encompass both the public and private sector in the following categories: studies, research, and consulting services; building/technology systems; structural systems; surveying and mapping technology; environmental; waste and storm water; water resources; transportation; energy; industrial and manufacturing processes and facilities; and special projects.
Each year, over 60 member firms submit projects that are judged on rigorous criteria that include complexity, innovation and value to society. These projects are judged by a panel of industry experts. In addition to celebrating among peers, the Engineering Excellence Awards program helps to publicize the many significant contributions consulting engineers make to the built environment throughout the world.
